The only man who is educated is the man who has learned how to learn; the man who has learned how to adapt and change; the man who has realized that no knowledge is secure, that only the process of seeking knowledge gives a basis of security. Changingness, a reliance on process rather than upon static knowledge, is th eonly thing that makes any sense as a goal for education in the modern world. ( Carl Rogers - Educator)

CALL Practice and Tools II: Reading and Writing

Note: Sorry for posting my answers a bit late. I didn't see the questions the way it was posted before. I thought the assignment was to only make a lesson plan. I shall be posting my answers in details righ tafter the class because I can't remember what I've read anymore since I've read it a week ago. 1. What are some features of Wiki-mediated writing? How are they beneficial for language learning? In using wiki-mediated writing, I think there is more cooperation and collaboration between the teacher and student and among the students (as compared with using blog). In here, students can see what students have written and can make comments or suggestion ...or additions, etc. 2. What are the reasons some students start or continue blogging, and others not? What are the implications that the research article gives? One of the common reasons why students start blogging is for the purpose of fulfilling the class requirement and tend to continue blogging when their co-students (other people) start sending comments or pay attention to their blog. Sadly, they become less interested blogging or stop using blogs when they couldn't find the use of their blog, like...if their blog can be of relevance to other blogs (or to other people who search ofr signifacnt information). 3. Discuss one or two materials or tools for reading and writing that you have experienced and learned from reading, and explain how to implement them in current Korean curriculum. (My answer can be seen just right below (posted last March 26).
